How can I get into movie (film) music business?

Question by Preston Miller: How can I get into movie (film) music business?
I’m 15 years old and play the alto sax and a little clarinet, I would love to know how I could get into the movie music business. Im interested in playing not composing. Any information is appreciated.

Movie composers usually hire professional musicians on a session basis. These musicians also play for recording artists, video games, commercials and live sessions.

Your best bet is to join a music group and have your music heard. If you have talent, doors will open. ALSO, audition for local orchestras as they are usually hired for sessions as well.
