About your host:

I am incredibly handsome, devilishly charming, brutally intelligent, and unceasingly humble. I am months shy of 30 years of age and am frequently told that I behave as though I am 7 and a half. My interests include potty humor and cheap liquor. I daydream about sacrifice flies and have been known to routinely put away over a pound of beef (with a dozen or so slices of bacon for flavor) before noon. ...Sorry, ladies. This catch has already been reeled in. C'est la vie, senoritas.s.

All mp3s are for educational, informational, & entertational purposes only. If you like a song, please buy that cd at a locally owned, independent shop or from the artist's website. If you own the rights to a song posted here and would like it pulled, it will be done swiftly and with much grovelling. Enjoy.

Any and all mp3s will only be posted for roughly a week. Act fast and grab 'em while you can. You snooze, you lose. Oh, and if you move your feet, you will also be at risk of losing your seat.

Coming Soon... A Hoagie For All Seasons : The Ron Coomer Story

I feel as though I should mention that updates to this site may be a little less frequent than in the past. Three classes at night and 40 plus hours toiling away each week will leave precious little time to frolic in this playground that is the internet. That said, I will still do my best to keep you all up to your ears in music. Thanks for understanding.

One Splendid Day In The Life Of Dr. Rheal Gallego

This is my soundtrack for a Wes Anderson film. This film's centerpiece is the delightfully quirky Dr. Rheal Gallego (he is not really a doctor, he merely enjoys the respect the title demands) and would follow him through an "average" day. Dr. Gallego's aquaintances are prominent throughout the course of the movie. The lead would be played by Anderson favorite Bill Murray.

There's Gordo, the loud, hyperactive and obnoxious swimmer at the YMCA. (Played by America's favorite funny man Tom Arnold.)While everyone else around the pool goes out of their way not to look directly at Dr. Gallego's oversized nipples, Gordo simply can't help himself. "Dude!! You got dinner plates, my man!! Those things practically touch each other in the center of your freakin' chest!!" His voice echoes through the huge room that holds the indoor pool as he points directly at the elephant in the room. "Hey!! Check out this dude's unipple!! Unbelievable!!" Dr. Gallego doesn't even look in his direction as he quietly responds, "Must we do this every single day, Gordo?" "I thought that's why you came here..."

There's Felix Montague (portrayed by Crispin Glover), the owner of the bookstore Dr. Gallego frequents. He is just a little creepy as he suggests the newest Harry Potter book. "No thanks, Felix. I'm looking for some Saramago today." "Want some of this?" Felix offers his flask to the good "doctor." "I'll pass. What is that? Kerosene?" "Of course not... but you're close." Felix sips through a smile.

Not all of Dr. Gallego's day is spent enduring the company of odd men. This is a movie, so there must be a love interest. Enter Wendy Studebaker (played by the scene-stealing Kirsten Dunst). They meet at the bus stop, where Wendy is dancing to Wolf Parade as it blasts through her headphones. Not merely tapping her foot, but working it. Shaking what her momma gave her. A flurry of elbows and knees. We actually see a cartoon arrow pierce Dr. Gallego's heart.

Will they live happily ever after? You'll have to wait for the actual film. I don't have all of the answers.

Anyway, download these songs and enjoy. Clicking on the artists' names will bring you to their websites, or at least offer some information about them. Clicking on song titles will result in ownership and joy.
